NUI Galway Students' Union Life Skills Programme 2013/14

The Life Skills Programme run by the Students' Union offers a chance to further your development outside of the academic world through classes in areas such as:

Sign Language, First Aid - Occupational First Aid & Cardiac First Responder, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training, Guarding Skills, Self Defence, Manual Handling Training and Door Security.

These classes are provided at a reduced rate giving you a chance to learn a new skill which, in some cases, could save someone's life. This is also a great chance to broaden your CV.

Please note that classes will only proceed if sufficient numbers of students sign up for same.

Courses on offer to students during the 2013/14 academic term will include:

Anti - Racism Training Course

AWARE - 'Living Life To The Full' programme

Basic Sign Language Classes

Occupational First Aid

Cardiac First Responder

Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)

Self Defence Course

Manual Handling Training Course

These courses are strictly for registered NUI Galway students.

Payment must be paid for all courses (where applicable) upon sign-up.
Registration is on a first come, first served basis. Fees, where applicable, must be paid at registration. You can sign up in the SU Office upstairs in Áras na Mac Léinn beside the College Bar 10am-5pm Monday to Friday.
