Welcome to the Education section of our new website!
I'm Catherine Breslin, your Vice-President & Education Officer for 2013/14.

Here you will find information on admissions, fees, grants, exams, class reps, your Dean and College Administrator, the Academic Writing Centre (for help with essays), and the Support for Undergraduate Maths Students Centre (SUMS) as well as the SU Grinds Register. If you have any problems or questions about the academic side of life at NUI Galway, I'm your man, so contact me by email or phone and I'll try and help you out.

I'd encourage all of you to get involved in the Students' Union this year, whether you're a first or final year, and whatever your course. Maybe you could become a class rep and look out for your classmates, or maybe you could sign up to the soon-to-be-established S.U. Crew, where you can get involved in lots of one-off events, campaigns and suggest things for us to organise during the year. As Students' Union officers, we work for you, so make sure to tell us what you want from us, whether that be more student supports, more money for special projects you have in mind, or campaigns we should start up.
